The training was attended by 22 people (10 females, 12 males) representing the Bank of Mongolia, the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism, the Financial Regulatory Commission, the Standards and Metrology Agency, and the Artisanal and Small Scale Mining National Federation of Mongolia. During the training, Ms. P.Erdenetuya, Director of the Bank of Mongolia's Treasury Fund, made an opening speech, emphasizing the importance of building responsible artisanal mining, concentrating the country's gold in the Treasury Fund, and supporting the implementation of the CRAFT Code. In addition, the Financial Regulatory Commission's Supervision and Regulation Department, Real Estate Brokerage and Jewelry Regulation Departments actively participated in the training. During the event, Ms. Anna Bagmann, ACU Supply Chain Specialist, discussed the origins and development of accreditation, the CRAFT Code, the CRAFT standards and their implementation, ways, importance of gold origin, human rights, children's rights, formalization, and the environment. led to an introduction and information on conservation and planetGOLD criteria. During the discussion, participants had an interesting discussion and shared their views on long-term, medium and short-term regulatory tools to eliminate the use of mercury, to operate without child rights violations, to increase the formalization of artisanal mining, to stop money laundering.
