The planetGOLD Mongolia project organized a community meeting on “Conflict Management” for artisanal miners on June 11, 2024, in Mandal soum, Selenge province, Mongolia.

The meeting was conducted with role-playing exercises that addresses topics such as conflict dynamics, conflict resolution techniques, managing emotions and difficult people, avoiding blame culture and effective resolution of conflict within teams.

Artisanal miners actively engaged in the meeting and performed their role efficiently, and emphasized how beneficial this kind of role-playing meeting is for both their professional and personal communications.

At the end of the meeting, in collaboration with the Emergency Division of Mandal soum, fire prevention in-person practical training was provided to ensure artisanal miners’ capacity on safety and health at work.
