The planetGOLD Mongolia project supported an experience-sharing visit intended to improve the rescue and risk-prevention capabilities of Mandal soum's rescuers and officials from the Emergency Management Division from February 26 to March 1, 2024. The rescuers visited Border Guard Unit No. 0303, National Rescue Brigade, and Mining Rescue in Nalaikh District, as well as Disaster Prevention Training Methodology Center and Rescue Squads in Ulaanbaatar City, to learn about their activities, new advanced tools and equipment, and their experiences.

They learned about the tools used in water and chemical accident rescues, as well as the features of mining rescue operations, and carried out a simulated exercise at the training center.

The participants expressed satisfaction with their experience-sharing visit, and they learned skills that needed to be improved and created a list of initiatives that they could implement in their organizations.

Mr. B. Turbold, a rescuer, firefighter, and deputy chief, stated, "I learnt a lot in my professional field, including the National Rescue Brigade's tools and clothing for working with chemicals. Also, after gaining experience with mining rescue and actual practice in mining pits (for training purposes), as well as the use of tools and equipment in mining rescue, I got valuable knowledge for future rescue calls and operations.
